The business with videos grew up very fast.
For example YouTube was founded in February 2005. Today people watch more than 70 million videos a day.

YouTube originally started as a personal video sharing service, and has grown into an entertainment destination.

This bigness of website is an immense value for marketing, so the market price for YouTube is actually 1.65 billion dollars.
Google paid this price and wants to acquire YouTube for their own video share service (at the moment, there is a beta of Google Video online –> http://video.google.com).

But from now on, YouTube has got a commercial image and with this there appear enemies who want to stop the growth of services like these.
YouTube has got the problem, that there are masses of videos who infringe copyrights. For example the music industry does not allow to publish their video clips on websites.
Latest case is that the German Bundesliga plans a strike-back against YouTube, they announced rigorous actions. SRG, the swiss radio and tv association helps on it too, because they found sport scenes who are licensed by them and actually published on YouTube.

It’s not the first time that YouTube gets under pressure of right owners. According to own data, the video platform removes videos from its offer, if these are complained by right owners.

We will see what the future brings.
